The AOCS Marketplace was established to serve as a driving force in the movement to facilitate and expedite the expansion of honest trade on a local level. The American Open Currency Standard was built to make economic survival once again a real possibility by putting each individual in control of their own wealth and by doing so giving each person the opportunity to recognize that the choice is theirs as to where their money goes and how it gets there.
Many communities already enjoy a growing private trading network through the efforts of one or more AOCS Community Trade Coordinators (CTCs). What these trade coordinators have found is that there are a number of reasons people engage in private trade in the AOCS Marketplace.
For merchants, some of these reasons include:
For those who are shopping in this market, some of the reasons include:
Regardless of the reasons, many have chosen to privately engage in building a system to protect their interests now and in the future. As these local networks multiply and expand, the benefits to all will become even greater.

Hey Rob,
Just wanted to shoot you a quick note to express an interest in the Marketplace Coordinator position. I live in NH, I’m a member of the Liberty Movement and Free State Project. I’ve been involved in private barter for years and have been bartering automotive service work for everything from guns to silver and gold bullion. I have been working on my degree in software development and web commerce while working full time plus.
I have spent the majority of my working life selling and working with customers directly and have always maintained the highest standards of customer service.
Please let me know what you would need from me to proceed further.
Thank you,
Tony L.
Rob….What is the difference between this operation and the one which landed ?? in jail?
Take a look at http://www.opencurrency.com/liberty-dollars-arrogance-ends-in-federal-guilty-verdict/ for the key differences.
I was wondering if anyone else is having trouble seeing the marketplace. I have used 3 different computers and I still just get a plain white page every time.
I am having the same issue.
I am getting the same error.
I would love to find vendors accepting metals for barter. I am a direct salesperson by trade and would be willing to accept metals as barter.
